If you are interested in helping with the Dundalk Dance Association in any way, we would love to hear from you. Over the past two years the Dundalk Dance Association has undergone a series of organizational changes. Our new organizational structure has enabled us to define areas where help is needed and there is a variety of jobs for all interest levels and availability.

Please help us to continue to offer exposure, business and pride to Dundalk and its surrounding area by helping with this worthwhile event.


Some examples of areas where help is needed and the specific tasks that would be involved include:

Donations:

Corporate Sponsor Co-ordinator
Work with the Donations Director to solicit and secure additional and/or corporate sponsorship for the Dundalk Dance Festival
Maintain an accurate list of sponsors for the Donations Director to ensure appropriate recognition


Fundraising:

Fundraising Director
Work with the Fundraising co-ordinators to organize and execute fundraising events for the Dundalk Dance Association

Jamboree/Dinner Theatre Co-ordinator
Organize and execute the monthly Jamborees used for fundraising for the Dundalk Dance Association. Jamborees occur monthly in October, November, January, February, March and April.
Work with the volunteer co-ordinator and the executive to organize personnel to advertise, make and serve food and generally staff the jamborees
Work with the Treasurer and the Fundraising Director to keep track of funds specific to the Jamborees
Work with the volunteer co-ordinator and the executive to organize personnel to advertise, make and serve food and generally staff the dinner theatre


Public Relations:

Public Relations Co-Director
Shadow the current Public Relations Director for the 2009/2010 year to learn details of the position
Co-ordinate advertising and printing for Dundalk Dance Festival events
Work within the assigned budget to present to the executive, representative paid advertising choices for the Dundalk Dance Festival
Hire and be the liaison for paid advertising approved by the executive
Solicit free advertising for the Dundalk Dance Festival wherever possible/appropriate
Seek recommendations from the Executive for possible venues for free advertising
Provide accurate information regarding the Dundalk Dance Festival to free advertising offered by community radio, television, newspaper, or other sources of advertisement.

Community Relations Co-ordinator
Act as a liaison between community groups to ensure that people in the community are aware of the activities of the Dundalk Dance Association including but not limited to Jamborees, Dinner Theatre and Dundalk Dance Festival Events
Bring proposals for events from the community to the executive for approval and so that community events may be promoted through Dundalk Dance Association advertising
Promote the Dundalk Dance Association Executive and the Dundalk Dance Festival to local community

Web Page Co-ordinator
Maintain contact between the Dundalk Dance Association and the custom website design company to ensure that web content is maintained and current.


Student volunteers can obtain community service hours by volunteering festival weekend or at our monthly jamborees. Contact us to arrange tasks and a time that works.
