What is a jamboree??
Musicians gather voluntarily to perform for spectators who enjoy by either listening or dancing. The afternoon typically consists of 20-45 different musical performers that play a variety of traditional instruments including the fiddle, banjo, piano, saxophone, harmonica and more or that perform vocal olde tyme music. The jamborees not only help to preserve olde tyme music, but they also act as a venue for socialization for spectators who travel from many small communities across Ontario.
